After the second world war, the production of Zeiss equipment was transferred to the village of Arsenal, Ukraine. The factory mainly produced simplified replicas of the renowned brands such as Hasselblad, Zeiss Ikon, Nikon and Pentacon. Some of the clones were actually really good, such as the Contax remakes.

The Kiev-88 is one of the most famous productions of Arsenal and resambles the Hasselblad 1000F/1600F.
