Olympus

From 1919, the Japanese company Olympus mainly produced microscope lenses and thermometers. In 1934 their first camera lens was introduced, the Zuiko. This was presented on a Proud camera body as the Semi-Olympus I.

During the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's, the brand has produced a couple of successful models such as the Olympus Six, PEN, Trip and OM.

Nowadays, Olympus is mainly know as a producer of medical equipment.
