Agfa
Agfa, also known as Agfa-Gevaert, is a fusion of the German 'Aktiengesellschaft für Anilinfabrikation' and the Belgium 'L. Gevaert en Cie'. It dates back as far as 1867! In the first years, the production was mostly concentrated on colorings and, later on, also X-ray film. During the 1903- 1921 period, they also added the first cinematic film and the production of printing plates.
Agfa was during the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's of the past century mainly known as a producer of photo film cassettes and cameras for amateurs and professional photographers. Iconic camera types are for example the Agfa-Box en Agfa Silette series.
