About the body:

The shutter speeds seem reasonably accurate by ear. The exposure meter reacts to light (battery is included), but we do not provide any warranty on the accuracy. The top slat of the shutter curtain seems to end up crooked every now and then after releasing. We think that’s why it needs a service to work properly. A nice job for the handy do-it-yourselfer or repairer. Hence the low price for this set.

About the lens:

Shutter works. Focuses smoothly. Glass is clear and scratch free. The lens is therefore ready to use.
