F. Deckel-München folding plate camera 1928
This beautiful Friedrich Deckel-Munchen Compur camera is not fully functional any more, but it does look fairly good for a foldable plate camera this age! All and all a nice asset to your collection.
Hardly any traces of use. Bellows 100% original and intact. The camera covering has some minor spots of wear, but on the whole looks neat. Some wear on the black paint, see pictures. Hardly any rust, except for the viewfinder and the diaphragm blades. Inside is neat.
The detachable back is intact.
The folding mechanism works well. The shutter does still work a little bit; it moves, but this camera cannot be used to take photos any more. Self timer is stuck.
The Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 1:4,5 f=15cm lens is scratch free. Some haze/fungus.
The position of the lens is adjustable by turning the silver colored wheel (top left). If the camera gets folded back, make sure the lens returns to its original position in order to avoid the viewfinder thread to bend.
