Sharkskin Leica IIC with Summitar 2.0/50mm
This outstanding Leica IIC camera with the Summitar 2.0/50mm lens is almost as new. See pictures. The camera covering is made of shark skin. It dates from the first batch (1948).
Cosmetically:
The vast majority of these cameras from that period suffer from chrome decay, but this one does not; the body is still perfectly chromed.
Technically:
In perfect condition with a well running shutter. The shutter speeds seem accurate. We only test by hearing and not with professional equipment.
About the lens:
The Leica Summitar 50mm lens is in perfect shape cosmetically. Glass is clear. Most of these lenses have haze or fungus, but this one does not.
This is every collectors dream !
