Robot Recorder 24 spring motor camera for speed control
This Robot Recorder 24 was used in the 1960’s as a traffic cam in the Netherlands. That’s why it doesn’t have a viewfinder. The high quality body is still fully functional.
The camera operated stationary (by winding the spring mechanism) and produced 50 traffic fines per film roll. The size of the images was 24x24mm but they were very detailed thanks to the Schneider Kreuznach f3.8/75mm Tele-Xenar lens.
The shutter speeds seem accurate by ear. Lens is scratch free. Diaphragm works. Includes the screwed-on lens hood as it was mounted inside the traffic safety box. The cosmetic state of the camera is also good. Some small traces of use but overall neat. See pictures. The camera covering is in very good condition.
All and all, a nice piece of history to add to your collection!
